Small Schools

BOYS:

Number one ranked South Adams was the only boy’s team to capture a regional title as they won at Marion.  Number two ranked South Knox was the only second place finisher as they were narrowly edged by Evansville North at Pike Central.  Wes Del (ranked #5) finished the season strongly taking third at Delta.   Three squads grabbed the fifth qualifying spot.   They were:  Winamac (ranked #3) at Culver, Borden (ranked #7) at Crawford County and Wapahani (ranked #9) at Delta.

GIRLS:

As in the boys, the number one ranked team was the only small school girls team to take a regional title as Oldenburg Academy was victorious at Greensburg.    None of the girl’s team’s took second.  One, number 3 ranked Seeger, took third at Harrison.  Number two ranked Fremont (at West Noble) was one of three teams in fourth.  The other two were:  Northfield (ranked #4) at Marion and Dubois (ranked # 7) at Crawford County.  Four teams took the last qualifying spot.  They were: Winamac (ranked #5) at Culver, FW Canterbury (ranked #6) at Marion ,  Hebron (ranked #8) at Crown Point, and Clinton Central, (ranked #10) at Harrison.
