The Raiders fly under the radar every single year it seems, somehow.  Yet, as you can look at their numbers posted above, they should never be forgotten about, and I am sure nobody in the Northeast area forgets about them.

One state that helps push them over some of the teams that were close behind are the sectional/regional/semi state titles.  Also, just finishing in the top 10 at the state meet is another big plus.  The state title does not hurt either.

Northridge is another team that peaks very well traditionally.  The year they won the state meet, my team stayed in the same hotel as them.  We were also thinking we had a shot to win the title.  We over-heard the guys talking about how they thought they were far and above better than everybody else.  At that point, we were not even considering Northridge as a threat.  If you know how that story ends, you will know I will never doubt the Raiders again.  That team also ended up going out to the NTN competition and representing Indiana.
