Top Female 100 Meter Hurdlers

Coach Cash
Skyler Carpenter 12 Westview
She is the overall #1 recruiting prospect in Indiana for a reason. Amazing work ethic, great leadership qualities, g.p.a. is off the charts... Wait, I should probably start mentioning her athletic accomplishments. Three sport star, but usually finishes basketball in time to compete in the indoor season.
Demetra Taylor 12 Northrop
I think her stellar freshman season was a setback. The high expectations that stemmed from it seemed to be a burden that I'm not sure she has gotten rid of yet. Hopefully, she has done that, and this will be her greatest season yet. Big time talent.
Corinne Zehner 12 New Palestine
One of two hurdlers in my previews that is also an all state cheerleader. She comes from a region that is quietly churning out some of the best hurdlers in history.
Jalencia Lemons 12 Richmond
I thought that she would end up being a better jumper than a hurdler(maybe because her brother was a star jumper), she brings a level of athleticism to the hurdles that few can match.
Jaleesa Holmes 12 Merrillville
Similar to Kayln Davis of Anderson, both should be heptathletes at the next level. Jaleesa is also a soccer player. She benefits from a great winter track program. Shoutout to NWI for creating the most and best indoor track opportunities for the athletes.
Symone Black 10 Concordia
I'm still not sure if she will be a full time hurdler, but I think she can make a big impact in this event. After this year, she will be the one to beat.
Clair Strobel 10 Evansville Harrison
She is a true technician, and studies hurdles better than anyone in the state. Although she has been running hurdles for years, I would like to give a shout out to Coach
Tubbs, who is one of the state's best hurdle coaches.
Kayln Davis 12 Anderson
Mentioned earlier in the Jaleesa Holmes preview for her athletic versatility. She had a disappointing race at state last year because of a bad start, but she will definitely be back. She is finally realizing that she has a future in track and field.
Holly Hankenson 10 Bellmont
Speaking of heptathletes: While others think about it, she actually goes out and does it. She was a national qualifier for the USATF Junior Olympics last summer while running for Fort Wayne Express. Look for her to long jump more during the season.
Liana Yoder 12 Goshen
At 5'5, she doesn't have the ideal height for a hurdler. But she is extremely aggressive, a quality that also helps her on the basketball court.
Jackie Lanthier 12 Fishers
Who was the other hurdler that made the all state cheerleading team? Jackie Lanthier. While most of her teammates were members of Indiana Storm, she got her start as a member of Indy's Racing Cheetahs.
Sibong Ncube 11 Brownsburg
Still a bit of a newcomer, but I think this will be her breakout year.
Mikalia Chamblee 12 St. Joeseph's
Maybe a bit underrated here, because she has all of the physical tools to be a big time athlete in several events. The only thing she lacks is consistency.
Becca Kropf 12 Fairfield
I can see her dropping the long jump in the tournament and focusing more on the hurdles. She should improve a lot from last year. Also plays basketball.
Jorey Wall 10 Norwell
Actually splits time between track and softball. Despite her success on the track, I don't see her dropping softball this year.
Jayla Lewis 11 Fort Wayne North Side
Doesn't have the cleanest technique, reminds me a bit of Amber Jones of Ben Davis. Has a great build for hurdles, but basketball obligations hinder development.
